Vacationing from Ohio, we stumbled upon this beautiful cafe in Woodstock, VT. Sure, I was on vacation and therefore everything MUST have been so great, but this cafe truly stands out. First, they have a lovely patio with which to enjoy their great selection of drinks. It was morning, so we had coffees, but they were piping hot and delicious. This cafe also has quite a menu, able to accomodate both breakfast and lunch. We had some breakfast sandwiches that came up quickly, were piled high with eggs, sausage, & cheese, and were absolutely delicious. Also, their breakfast potatoes.... YUM! The staff at Mon Vert were smiling and welcoming, and this place is well situated on Central St amidst the shops, so it's not only a delicious choice, but a convenient one!
We came here and there was a line as there was everyday both for take out or sit in as there is very limited seating upstairs. The food here is all farm to table and there is map out front showing all the places they source their food from. The wait wasn't too bad and the people in front do their best to be helpful. Once inside you plce your order and get a number and if you are sitting inside they will find you and bring it to you . Had oat milk and made a terrific cappuccino. Fife had the Farmer breakfast with lots of yummy bacon and I had the breakfast sandwich with sausage that was so big I had to deconstruct it to get it in my mouth . Solid place all around, in Season expect to wait.
I would drive from RI to VT weekly if that wasn't absurd to go to this cafe. The food is all locally sourced and absolutely delicious. The coffee is also incredible. I love to visit and try their seasonal drink specials and I honestly can say I haven't had anything I didn't like. The cafe is in the most adorable old house. You order everything at the register and you're given a buzzer to put at your table. The food is delivered to you, but you pick up your drink at the end of the bar. The only complaint I have is that in the winter there's never enough seating. I would suggest you send someone to grab seats and someone else to order if you can!
This was a very popular cafe when we came on a Saturday around 1pm. It was a half hour wait to get to the counter to order and then it took another half hour to get the food. You pick up your drinks at the counter after they call your name. I got the Florence-woody wrap along with a bit matcha latte. They didn't put any sweetener in the latte or ask what kind of milk I wanted, but it does appear that they have alternative milks. There is free wifi I you'd like to study and there's seating upstairs. We
Mon Vert Cafe in Woodstock is an organic cafe serving locally sourced ingredients and craft coffee. We had the Sunrise at Mooney's Platter which consisted of eggs, home fries breakfast meat and an English muffin and a sausage egg and cheese on an English muffin. You can certainly taste the freshness of the food here. Mon Vert is the coziest spot to get a good coffee in Woodstock
Walk in at 0800, first time here. Ordered 2 lattes and a Monte Cristo. Small eclectic place. Not to much seating noted. Staff is very friendly and makes suggestions. Love that it is small business. No noted chains around the area, a plus!!! MC was bomb. The chocolate croissant is light and airy and the chocolate was smooth. The MC with the contrast of bitter cheese and sweet French toast, a perfect sandwich. A must stop for anyone. Come and help small businesses.
The Zesto was probably the best sandwich I've had in a while. The bread stayed crunchy and crispy for my whole meal even with all the pesto layered on, chicken wasn't tough, cheese was stringy and hot--just perfection. Their apple cider is (for lack of better words) very apple-y and not overly sweet. They get BUSYYY though. Line out the door on a Friday afternoon that took a good minute to get through. Decor is super cute tho, and most of the staff is very friendly. Grab a spot outside if you can!
The food was very tasty and had several vegetarian options and was prepared relatively quickly for how busy they were. The seasonal drinks we tried, chai latte and maple spice were both delicious. They are extremely busy so be prepared to wait in line to order. Outdoor and indoor seating is cozy but ample
We decided to take a weekend vacation to Woodstock, Vermont and after driving for a few hours, this is the first place we stopped. We had seen the reviews on YouTube, and being coffee lovers it was on our list. We were so happy that it was one of the first places we saw, as we surely needed coffee after such a long drive. The ambience is adorable, rustic, & classy all in the same sentence. Even being here in the summer, which is the off-season, it was busy, but not overloaded. We're more coffee drinkers than specialty drinkers. I ordered the dark roast with cream and my boyfriend ordered the regular coffee with cream and sugar. For real coffee lovers, you can taste the difference in quality coffee, and the certainly not disappoint... it tasted like velvet going down. We came back one more time before departing from Vermont!
This is a small cafe in the tiny enclave of Woodstock, Vermont...not the Woodstock, but charming nonetheless. When there are 5 people in front of you, the line is practically out the door. We ordered the brisket, the oink and cluck, and fries. +1 for the clever menu. Service was about as fast as it could be. The sandwiches are served on Dutch crunch, which is a whole lotta bread. I ended up taking the meat off and just eating it. The fries are home fries, more like hash, so it was interesting. I didn't try any of the other eateries, but they all hover around 4 stars.
